Hi folks,
When taking apart my Chinese made electric
trawling motors I found they
had a thrust bearing at one end only. This takes
the load when traveling forward;
however at the other end of the motor shaft there
is just a circlip in a grove in the
shaft, &
this spins against a couple of washers, this being my thrust bearing in
reverse.
Is this going to be suitable? I'm oil compensating
the motors so I'll have a bit of lubrication
on the washers.
How are the Minnkota motors manufactured in this
respect?
Regards Alan
