Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Blueglobe cable glands

Thanks Jens, had a good look & have them on my favourites.
My problem at the moment is finding or making a good, cheap "quick connect"
cable gland that can handle 50 amps. I have some AGM SLA batteries I want to oil compensate for attachment outside the sub.
I want to have 4 x12 volt batteries with their 4 negative cables all going in to one junction box & their
4 positives into another. The quick connection to the junction box proves to be the difficulty.
Regards Alan

Thanks for the information on the Blueglobe cable glands, which is
something that may very well be be used in connection with sonar
transducers, also.

However, here is something that might be useful for those who wants to
"roll their own" cable glands, ref

1) http://traktoria.org/sonar/application_notes.php?id=4
2) http://traktoria.org/sonar/application_notes.php?id=5
3) http://traktoria.org/sonar/application_notes.php?id=6

These notes relates to field-proven sonar transducer cable gland designs,
and are the first 3 entries I've recorded, simply to have some real
content available while I continue to program and test a database software
I'm working on.

Best regards,
Jens laland

** You can make your own by using a brass compression water plumbing
** fitting for sinks and toilets.
