That was Barbara O'Connor.
I was emailing her & I think the last straw was
when she suggested her two main characters
"flubber" to the surface from their submerged
submarine.
I told her they would possibly die of an embolism
due to their lungs bursting if they held their
breath & that it might be a good ending to her
story.
She possibly saw it was getting complicated &
didn't want to be responsible for some kid's
death, so abandoned the idea.
