I know it may seem a little rude/frustrating of me, but if you do
some basic reading you will probably be asking quite different
questions (on the same subjects of course) which are much easier
for most of the people here to answer.

Is it a MBT or VBT you are asking about?  What is the purpose of
this tank?  Hard or soft?  Most subs have soft MBTs and hard VBTs.

Also, searching the archives for MBT and VBT will probably
also help while you are wait for the book to arrive.

As far  as the ballast tanks go, which Is the most 
popular? I am thinking of the keel tank would work for me but then the 
batteries....
I plan to have some sort of motorized "weight trim" so 
the tank would have to be split for it to work.
