RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] HY-100 Steel & Balance

Yohnathon, It would be nice if you introduced yourself, told us what country you are from, what you want to use the sub for and where, and what budget you have.

The questions you are asking p-subs are going to raise concerns unless you do some serious reading of the books you have already been told are available. Most of your questions will then be answered from you learning the basics.

So far your wishes indicate a serious ship costing several million dollars and weighing over 60 tons being designed by someone without any knowledge.  Regards, Hugh

Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] HY-100 Steel & Balance

I was wondering what type of steel is the best, widely available in the u.s. to, and found HY-100 steel this type looks good but im not sure (search google). I would like to know of a type of steel that is good for the job.

Also how would a sub keep balance and stay upright (conning tower in direction of sky).
