There is a brief history of concrete (ferro-cement) boatbuilding in
"Concrete Boatbuilding, its technique and future" by Jackson and
Sutherland, 1969. The concrete ships built in the USA for World War I
were of conventional reinforced concrete poured into wooden forms.
WWII also saw some construction, they made good warehouses.
