Dan I have just received my SSB-2010 and a STX-101. I am confused
on what you
mean by reconnect the outer shield. I have not received my CDK-6-
kit yet but I am
thinking a couple of wires with a braided or aluminum shield.
Do you mean attaching the shield with a thru
conductor?

I am
using OTS equipment and am very happy with it . I have a couple
of SSB-2010s for use in the sub (or subs) and a STX-101 Surface unit . I
did alot of research before I made any purchases. OTS has been in business
for over 25 years and manufactures a reliable product .
Spliceing the wire to an electrical penetrator is no big deal , just
make sure to reconnect the outer shield . Cliff Redus is also using OTS
. Go to the Psubs Web site , click on "Resources and References" on the Top
drop down menu , then click on communications on the left hand side column.
Cliff did an outstanding job of documenting his setup ! Dan
