Galiano - funny you should be emailing about that.

Years ago I was diving commercially for urchin and it occurred to me that
the kelp beds off Galiano would be a great place to dive in a sub (with SS
weed-cutters on the props!).  One of my most memorable dives there was off
the wall south of Valdes: four sea lions came to say hello at 60ft.

Our family ended up going to a cabin there every year or so until recently.
Simply a gorgeous place to be.  Still on my To-Sub-Dive list.
