The bi-pass will be only for emergency failure of PWM.
Did you catch my link a little while back to the underwater
manipulator using oil compensated linear actuators?

Thanks Alan. The Lenco's are looking better all the time.
On your bypass circuit.....be careful with reversing a motor without
the ramp-up/ramp-down. It can damage the motors.
