Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] pressure gauge

Hi David,
That is so nineteenth centuary; we are now in the 21st.
I bought mine from Grainger in the U.S.A.
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/search.shtml?op=search&N=14729&Ne=10071&in_dim_search=1
I think people fit them with an oil filled balloon on the outer side of the hull so seawater doesn't get in to them.
Someone else might comment on that.

Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] pressure gage

I got one!

If I took an air tank and lobbed off the bottom to it and placed it such that the lower part was down deep in the water within an ambient submarine. A small metal tube was then attached to the upper or output end and ran up to a pressure gage. Would this show pressure in psi as can be converted to the depth of the sub?
