Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Police discover extraordinary 100ft submarine used by Colombian drug-runners to smuggle cocaine | Mail Online

Carsten,

Japanese, russian sub manuals, have seen it all ... a billion dollar crime industy has access to anything - that is the awful truth - nobody should be surprised.

We all knew that would happen sooner or later. The problem for us who are building big yacht subs is that authorities may feel endorsed to go after the "vessel type" instead after the people who commit crimes with that type of vessel.

I will not widen this theme because it is of no benefit for the private submarine community to widen themes that are pure poision for our sport.
For those who are interested in reading background here is a link.

The problem

I am glad that the problem was fought here in colombia to a extent that it seems to be displaced to other countries now. I always tried to be part of the solution not of the problem. Avoid involuntary technology transfer be a good ambassador of your sport.

Hmm, diesel and electric powered indicate a real sub.

Great catch - looks like a japanese A-D class
