Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] submarine kit-builder's society

Suggesting, one supposes, that no one else has "taken the time" to dream, question or imagine quite to your level? Come on, Jens. Don't sulk. This stuff is supposed to be fun. Even the busted knuckles and occasionally bruised egos.

Model T Fords don't get bad press simply because Ferrari builds a new car. And neither end of the spectrum gets built without the dreamers. For some, the mental challenge and the discussion itself is enough. For others, it's all about getting to the water.

Me? I'm going to the water. I like Ferraris, but I don't have one. So, I'm taking the Model T. Now, if you could just figure out how to build a Ferrari on a Model-T budget.....

Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] submarine kit-builder's society

This sounds like the words of an old fashion revival preacher

** Excellent! 3 subs! That's what I'm talkin about!!
** Who else on the list will build a sub and join us?

Is this forum meant to be an exclusive "submarine kit-builder's society"?

Or, will there still be room for people taking the time required to work
on new design or technology, and who needs a forum where they can present
their work in a multitude of forms; like figments, dreams, ideas,
questions, proposals, concepts, sketches, images, stories, discussions,
mock-ups, scale models, etc.?

** No. Building a sub is required.

** If we all start tomorrow, there will be over 200
** subs at the 2011 convention. Who's with me?!!!

Best regards,
Jens Laland
