Hi Brian,
It looks like the lights are LEDs, can you tell us what wattage or lumens they put out?
I couldn't find any information on their site.
Hugh was investigating compensating an LED car headlight, I don't know how he got on.
Re the manipulator, Here is a link to a robotics tutorial that has a link to a calculator
for designing your own manipulator based on your personal requirements regarding
reach & lifting capacity. These are electronic manipulators but the principles &
leverage on joints would be the same as for a hydrolic model. Might be helpful or
just more complicated stuff to overload your brain.

I have mentioned this and he said that he may very well show up at the convention he?s very interested in small subs and is willing to modify any of his light to work at depth below I just potted the wire stuffing box so I can test it tomorrow or maybe tonight full of energy the mold was a cover to a baby bottle Lol
