[PSUBS-MAILIST] Oil Viscosity
Hi All,
While I do not know specific viscosities, a commonly used method in the paint industry is a zahn cup.
An inexpensive plastic one can be purchased at most paint stores for less than 10 dollors or so.
The small cup has a handle on it and is similar to a dipping ladle. It has a predetermined hole in the bottom and you measure the viscosity by the amount of time it takes for the liquid to run out of the cup.
Most paints for cup/conventional spray best around 25 - 30 seconds.
This is a simple way to compare different liquids viscosities.
Best Regards,
