RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] hailer

Jim,

  The transmitter and hydrophone are a single unit. This is a transducer for solids placed within a 4" pvc cap end and two part molding plastic is then poured in over it. An example of one is just like the one to be used with your Ray Jefferson dipping system.

  The transducer for solids run $26.97 with the shipping included with this price. The two part molding plastic is 19.99 with I think $17.00 shipping. The fancy interface cable is nothing more than a power cord of any length found at any good hardware store and best if bought on sale.

  We could do this...rather than I make and ship this which does nothing more than increase the overall cost of this device, we could have you acquire the needed supplies and we could give a quick show and tell of how this is all done at this coming convention...or I can simply assist you in making one at your home. This is not hard to do and is actually quite fun!

  So...

       $26.97 for transducer
       $37.00 plastic
       $ 12.00 cable

  About $70.00

  Note: This is enough plastic to make two transmitters. We could make two and have two peolple share the costs.

Hi David,

If I buy the hailer, what will be my cost to add the transmitter and hydrophone?

Thanks,

Jim K
