Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Git Kraken update

Hi Frank,

Good to hear from you again. I hope the move goes well!

I'm nearing the finish line. Installed all the batteries a couple of days ago and mainly working on electrical now.

Window installation will be in a week or two when the sika fles arrives.

Best Regards,

Although I've been pretty busy lately getting ready for a move to Florida, I was able to get a couple things done on the sub. I broke another camera so pictures will have to wait.
UPDATE:  The "french cut" tubes for the dive plane actuators are now finished being installed into the front stainless ballast tanks. They look kind of like the old fake exhaust ports on the sides of a Buick from the 50's. This way the actuators themselves are behind the 12 gage SS and are protected from impacts and entanglement. Just the linkage rods to the dive planes are exposed.
Today I'm finishing the "drop weight carriage" assembly so the sub will be ready to pull up onto the trailer. The carriage is made from the disk I cut out for installing the main hatch, with 6 ea. 1500 pound capacity steel rollers. This disk bolts to the bottom of the sub and will have ( not yet ) a 1" SS threaded pin as a drop mechanism. At this point I'm just trying to get the sub ready for the move.
Yesterday I bought a 10K pound rated trailer and arranged for a big rental truck to haul it back east.
Well, back to work.
