That data might also be useful to David Bartsch as it is specific to sonar transducers. I did some tests with various oils placed in small transparent plastic containers & mixed with water to see how they separated. I was surprized to see the container with WD40 in it disintergrate over about a week. I'm still using WD40 in my motors as I'm hoping the plastic in them would be a bit more risistant & other people don't seem to have had any problems. However the linear actuators are full of plastic & viscosity isn't such an issue
so I'll try the silicone.
