Sounds real familiar. Do you have any plans for it yet? I am just starting.

I want it to be stable with at least a 3 ton lift ability. Like pulling stuff. I really want to

raise the sub up a foot or so, and secured for towing in higher seas.

Hi Dean. Sorry to hear about your sore back. Take it easy and use ice. ( got lots of that stuff up there.)

Foam is a good idea. It shapes nicely.

I too am hoping to get a pontoon boat at some point as a support boat. I might make my own with stainless pontoons.

I like the large deck space and stability of pontoon boats. Never had one before so some research is in order.
