What a girl! She's going to have a tough time finding a guy worthy of 
her. And the courage of her parents in letting her go is second only to 
hers in going. I believe she is going around the Horn the "easy" way, 
but that is a very relative term; it'll be a nail-biter.

She's sailing a Sparkman & Stephens yacht.

I was just reading "Design of Wheeled Amphibians," which mentions that 
S&S was responsible for the development of the 2 1/2-ton DUKW, the 
prototype of which began testing 54 days after work was authorized. 
Despite that haste, it may very well have been the most successful 
amphibian ever produced.

Now that's the kind of corporate culture that I could respect!
