[PSUBS-MAILIST] Re: [international_psubs_minisubs_rovs] Hi-Vis Dive Sites

One more thing: when you view the uploaded pics, be sure to select View/Large (or original) and hit F11.

The pics will pop right out.

Hi, All . . .

I've created a new album on the Yahoo site called Hi-Vis Dive Sites.

I've temporarily added pics of submersibles in very clear water, mainly for inspiration.  I may remove them later - they say nothing about locations.

The object of this album is to collect u/w pics of the clearest dive locations in the world THAT ARE ACCESSIBLE BY SUBMERSIBLES.

The pics need not contain any pics whatsoever of subs, although that would be a bonus.  The object is to tell people [a] where to go  [b] what vis to expect after they launch.  That's it.  It may evolve into something bigger and better.  Let's see.

Keep in mind when you post that items like launching, permissions, local conditions (boat traffic, current, snags, etc.) and more are critical.  If unsure, SAY SO.  Any interested parties can research the area on their own.

The album is open to all for uploading.  In order to benefit the PSUBS members I only ask that you keep the following in mind:
[1] the pics show extremely clear water
[2] the images are of reasonably high resolution, are in focus and exposed properly - your judgement call
[3] the location and visibility are included in the description of the pic - very important
[4] other necessary details are included
Bright ideas are appreciated.  Please share with us.  I'm hoping this category takes on a life of its own.

Oh, yeah, one caveat: PULEAZE, do not feel hurt, insulted, crushed, denigrated, ignored, belittled or otherwise impaired if I remove any images.

First of all, you probably ripped them off the 'Net so they weren't yours to begin with.  The only images that will be removed are either technically off or ones that don't suit the category.

I deeply regret that even pictures taken during Mile Deep Club activities will be removed unless labeled with location and visibility.  No exceptions.    ;-)

Cheers,
