RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Hello; Design; Materials; Thanks

TC,

The R/V Needlefish is also a perfect example of what not to do.  Bill Gifford, a friend of the family, has over $60,000 invested (all premium components and all new, the investment is rumored to be closer to $75,000) in the Needlefish and it is pretty much unusable due to stability issues.  Attempts at selling the boat have been unsuccessful.

Save the whales, collect the whole set.

TC. You might look at the "needlefish" on the psub site.

It's like what you describe, a WWII style boat built for reasonably shallow depths but a good cruiser.
