Vance I am using a Curtis. It is really kinda of neat. You can do
just about anything with it
including multiple set ups for like real slow, then another for mid
range and yet another
for lets go.  It is totally programmable to do just about
anything you want it to do. I just would
be leery trying to use on a compound wound motor.

  Dean,
What sort of controller are you using? I've been looking at EV America
stuff and wonder about their mosfet controller's ability at low speeds, which
is where we'll be most of the time.

Hey Ken good to hear from you. I have not checked yet, but I have
  a feeling the controller
just kicked out. It did it a few times when we were bench
testing. Thought we had it whooped
but maybe not. I still do not have reverse in it, and will
probably just redo everything. If the
controller is not going to be reliable, may just pull the
motor and have it rewound to a straight
series motor. I am real pleased with the way it performs. I never
dreamt a DC motor could be
  so difficult. Lesson learned.

    Dean,

Nice Sub, glad to see the video.

Wonder what went wrong with the propulsion?

Thanks Dave, she hasn't  been down more than 10' so far
      but she is getting close.
It does make all the hard work and cussin worth while. And I
      promise the video's will
improve, I really do like looking at them. From inside the
sub you do not get to see it.

        Congratulations!

        got.

first part I am just trying to get neutral, and then the
        big break before we get
        playing
