David,

George’s hydrophone was fixed in position and was used for UQC (underwater ultrasonic 2-way comms) and not as a passive device.  The transducer was optimized for UQC ops.

 Any chance of asking the captain how the hydrophone on his K-600 worked out and if it was dirrectional or trainable? Any lessons learned?
