What if one connected a check valve in a pipe near the boats hull
(with the flow aimed outward) and used a hand operated piston pump with long
enough handle to apply enough force on a short stroke thin diameter piston to
expell water against outside sea pressure while at depth to reduce the amount
of water contained in this tank? When the handle is again drawn back,
additional water from this tank could enter this piston. Once finished,
isolation valves could be closed to prevent additional water from
transfering.
