I talked to Greg Cottrell a while back and he said he made an acrylic ring
sample to test in his pool. I think it was 4 inches high and not very thick, but
he said the visibility was WAY better than a bunch of little disk windows. I've
considered adding a short cylinder to my hatch at a later date. I'll be watching
the development of these rings closely with an eye toward future upgrades. Frank
