On the lead from batteries.....way more trouble than it's worth. Most of
the lead in an old battery is worthless oxide. I tried breaking an old one down,
melting all the crap, and ended up with a tiny bit of dirty lead and a whole
bunch of toxic crap left over. There's places on ebay that sell lead ingots and
ship free but it's pricey! The cheapest I've found there was 76 cents a pound.
At 1800 pounds, OUCH! Frank D.
