Ah yes, thank you. That's what I was looking for. I knew that IE8 had the option but thought it would be under preferences instead of a main menu option. Supposedly <meta> tags within the web page should be able to dictate compatibility mode but I haven't been able to get that to work.
IE-8 and higher menu work around.
1) Go to
www.psubs.org
2) Click on "Tools" on the IE8 browser tool bar.
3) In the menu provided, select "Compatibility View"
The top menu will now magically work for you.
