Interesting article. This whole "drug boat " thing is not going to help us
as home-built psubbers. I sympathize with the coast guard who are responsible
for catching these things. It seems like a better approach would be to stop the
growing of the plants before the drugs can be made. It must take a lot of plants
to make several tons of cocaine, and with the satellite technology available,
could the military find the fields?
As for us, as home builders of recreational subs, what can we do to make
ourselves a "non-threat".
I think that being open and visible through the psub site helps, but laws
and restrictions are bound to be developed that could curb our sport unless we
adopt some sort of system that makes us easy to judge as "safe" hobbyists.
