Stachiw covers it in his book.  It's not a constant, just an estimate, 
and I can't remember the percentage off the top of my head so I'll have 
to look it up later.

And just a plug for anyone who needs the Stachiw book.  Save yourself 
$20 and join PSUBS.  The cost of the book alone from any book store is
