Its a one speed gear box - but between gearbox and diesel is a shaft - on this 
shaft is a belt to the dc-motor with the other reduction about 1:1.5. 

The total reduction of gearbox is 2:1 and the mainbelt to the proeller has 2.5:1
So total diesel reduction is 5:1
Theddiesel runs with 2400 and the prop on diesel with 400 rpm.
