RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] underwater locators

Many years ago I had a set of beacon and locator that was supposed to be
for just the situation you describe. It was called WetBeacon and
WetFinder if I recall. Quite pricey. But unfortunately completely
useless, I couldn't locate the beacon with the finder to save my life.
Though it was ages ago, so hopefully they're now improved.

Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] underwater locators

Hi,
Does anyone know of a device that would send out a signal
underwater that would aid a diver in locating a fellow diver in poor
visibility water?
I was just diving yesterday off Pt Mugu with a friend (last day of
lobster
season) and a couple of spots at 30' were very poor vis. It would be
really nice to be able to locate another diver in that situation.

Brian
