Alec, What no sub name yet? How about "Transformer" or even better yet "Lathe Baby". ;}' Your hinge assembly is interesting. Would it be good to have a nylon bushing between the hinge rod and the four SS hinge tabs to make it quite with no galling? I'm really liking your pod electrical thru hulls. I like things I can take apart to work on. I see both the plastic insert and the copper conductors bottom out on a stepped area so they cannot keep going thru. It looks like they will slid in towards the main pressure hull from inside the pods, so if any pressure builds up in the pods they won't come through. So I was wondering if there is a way to keep them from sliding the other way once they are in position if some how there is extra pressure in the main hull, other then the screwed on electrical connection nut? Perhaps that's all it would need with a plastic spacer behind the nut. http://www.psubs.org///projects/asmyth/photos/large/penetrators.JPG Your an inspiration Alec, keep up the wonderful work. A big thanks to Jon. Uploading the content is really a piece of cake, which I imagine reflects quite a lot of work on Jon's part.
cheers,
