Hi Brian:
Nope, the joints are not welded to the torso or arm or leg spacers. They
(the rotary rings) seal into mating channels which are machined into the
castings - simple o-ring piston seal - but the retainer is quite unique -
takes about 10 seconds to remove a joint from the suit and 20 seconds to
replace it.
