It could also be water leaking past the seals. The vertical position of the second stage relative to the thruster will determine if the air in the thruster has enough pressure to keep water out.

However, despite refining the system we still get water in the engine. The compressed air is dry so probably it comes from the second stage.

Anyone experience with this??

By the way; As alternative for Minn Kota we use Rhino trolling motors. These have a very strong cast aluminium housing.
