dome upside down and bolted on top of a water filled "barrel".
I wonder if the mounting ring was able to flex due to not being bolted to a
more substantial base like the submarine hull. It would be useful to know more
about the plexi dome and it's stats like curvature, fab process, annealing
history, material type, base ring dimensions, type of mounting seal like "O"
ring or glued-in, pressure delta and speed of build-up.
