Hugh, One more note as to how well your "dolphin ear" performs...Peter Madson while aboard "Kraka" used a simular unit attached (I think He used tape) to the inside of one of his forward viewports and was able to hear a large yacht start its engines whle His boat was submerged. A more detailed explaination as to how well it performed would be best comming from this man. Shielding was an area of concern to him... Peter, have you used this device in any further tests?
