Yes, I have decided that due to my finacial situation as well as a need to get my feet wet sooner, you can count me among those attempting an ambient boat. A submarine is still a submarine! One thing I concidered, is that instead of a two section rudder as in the case of tear drop hull type submarines, I go with a rudder that simply uses only a lower assembly, when conducting high speed turns, the boat should have its back end kick out in the opposite dirrection and cause the boat to lean into the turn such as an airplane...seemingly flying into turns... I was on a "boomer" boat that as a submarines goes was slow and awkward...I just want to feel more in control such as a fast attack sailor. David Bartsch Talk to your Yahoo!
