To all: I was able to easily transmit my voice underwater using the recently completed underwater communications console. These tests were performed within the confines of an 18' diameter above ground swimming pool. This console serves as a highly sensative passive sonar system but will with transmit voice as an alternate purpose. The maximum output of the amplifier was 7 Watts. The maximum range that this simple form of audio communications can be performed is still under investigation. Even so, this sure beats rapping out morse on your hull! The system is simple to build and maintain. A newer underwater speaker is being prepared that should operate all the way down to the 500' depth we so desire.
