Brian, I too wish I could have gotten away and attended this years convention...but I thought I would share a very small achievment with you since we could'nt. I ordered four jack plugs for the cb handset so that I could attach this to this communications console properly. I bought these for .80 each from all electronics with only a small picture to aid me. These turned out to be just as I needed as many styles now exist. I have used a multimeter to verify its operation and am satified this will work. The intention is to have two such plug jacks on this console as one is to be used to transmit on the "listen" circuits should the transmit circuit fail during a deployment. (A submarine backup!) The only issue is that when used in its normal mode of operation, this handset must be plugged in, as the incomming hydrophone "listen" signal passes thru this handset in order to "kill" this incomming signal during voice transmissions. This was needed in order to spare these small amplifier circuits the condition of overload and damage therefrom. A little each day! David Bartsch Time for vacation? WIN what you need. Enter Now! |
