[PSUBS-MAILIST] Being an active part of a solution

If you have a elderly neighbor, or a neighbor that is disabled in some way, and not well to do. That has a broken fence that is allowing the free range cattle into there yard and destroying it. Should you go tell the said neighbor to fix his fence because it's an eye sore to the community, or do you go over with your own tools and materials, and offer to help them fix there fence? Besides being a nice thing to do, you might just make a great friend.

So from time to time, perhaps PSUBers would like to donate there time, and/or money to someone like Tao Xiangli in Beijing. It wouldn't take to many of use donating $20 to $50 a piece to make a huge difference to someone's project like Tao's. Flying over to visit with him, share knowledge and experiences. Perhaps even work on his sub with him. Help him make his sub into an ambient or better yet assist him in acquiring a stronger pressure hull.

Perhaps some here would find this type of action to be terrifying, with all the lawsuits and/or bad press it could bring if Tao got hurt or killed in a sub PSUBers helped on. I would just like us to do the best we can, and enjoy to process. I have my Passport ready.

If China is going to take over the world, then it's best to make friends early.  ;)'
