RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Snoopy's K-250 Acrylic Dome

Hi Brent,

Sorry for the delayed response, I'm just back from vacation. Yes, Greg made Snoopy's dome and it was blown from 1" material. I can't recall the type or brand used, though I do remember Greg saying once he only uses domestic material due to quality concerns he has. I think he may have a specific manufacturer he trusts, but can't remember that one.

I don't have any specific shots of the interior, but if there's anything in particular you're interested let me know. I can just walk over and take some photos for you anytime. I have made a LOT of changes, in fact I'd claim to have built about half the sub by now. With a lot of help from friends like Dan Lance and Greg Cottrell I might add.

thanks,

Alec

Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Snoopy's K-250 Acrylic Dome

Hello Alec,

I just noticed that there are a whole series of building pictures of your K-250 under Dale Heinzig's sub project build page that I had not seen before for some reason. Perhaps that's part of the new fancy site Jon has whipped up.

In those pictures, I was looking at your dome and was interested to know if Greg Cottrell made the dome?  Was it blow from a 1 inch sheet of acrylic as speced in the plans, and what type of acrylic was used?

I had been wanting to see better pictures of a K-250's VBT, and there are some in the build pictures, so that is very helpful.  Do you have any really good pictures of the interior of yours sub as it is configured now?

Regards,
Brent Hartwig
