The web forum is a perfect place for this since it breaks things up into
categories and anyone who finds a supplier can add an entry, not just the
webmaster.  There are a number of supplier entries located there already.
Feel free to add such info.  Go to www.psubs.org and click on "Discussion
Forums", then "Web Forum".  You can read the forum as a guest, but you have
to register on it if you want to participate in a discussion.

Given that many of us are coming up against the same question; who can
fabricate this particular item for me?, I suggest that we add to the
task load of the webmaster, and maintain a list of vendors/ service
shops. :)
Such as...  (a verry quick example)

Specialty metal suppliers:
    high strength steel plate
    large diameter pipe

Acrylic:
    large sheet forming
    dome casting

Metal fabricators:
    huge lathes
    rolling mills
    hemispherical forming

Hardware:
     bronze fittings

Life Support:
     air scrubber materials

Electronics:
     hydrophones
