Hi guys. I made a new sketch that shows the changes I made,
and it's a little closer to scale than the last sketch. The fiberglass
fairings will be silver, and the hull will be silver grey. The newly added
stainless ballast tanks will be polished. ( Damn Harley guys and their chrome !
)
I moved the side motors up to be in-line with the fairings. I hope that
doesn't make it shoot rooster tails.
The dive planes are changed to fiberglass instead of steel, and will match
the profile of the back fin.
Got some new ideas on how to make the drop weight shift forward
and back. I'll try to get a sketch of that up later.
The back fairing is ready for glass, and two days on the front
foam and I'm almost there. ( It's gotten a lot easier with practice)
Went down to the fiberglass store and that part should be real easy.
I might make a late summer launch after all! Well, at least a wet surface
test and weigh-in to start figuring the actual drop weight. Maybe I'll take it
out fishing and see what kind of speed I can get out of it. Frank D.
