I do not have a 7/16 24 tap but do have an account with
Travers Tool Company. You may be able to order online at WWW.TRAVERSTOOL.COM
The part number for a tapered tap is 14-028-241 and the
part number for a bottoming tap is 14-028-243. The price $12.98 in either
case.
I'm not sure if they sell to the general public. If you
have trouble let me know and I will order and have it sent to you.
I think you could also get one with less hassle from any
fastenal store, but I'm not sure!

Hey gang!
I find myself in dire
need of a tap that is 7/16 in diameter and has 24 threads per inch...it is
needed to properly tap the small wafer of plexiglass to allow for the
interface cable to be securely installed.I am using something called an
"Ander-Lign Compression Union" that has a 3/8" OD X 1/4" OD. I will be using a
teflon Delrin Sleeve to perform the seal.
Does
anyone know where I can obtain this tap? Has anyone got one to spare for a
short while?
