[PSUBS-MAILIST] Humidity Control Means

I was reading through some stored archives of the build pages for the Alicia sub, and thought you guys would find this of interest.

"The air conditioning system will be an important item in the finished craft. People produce both heat and moisture. Although in British waters the heat is welcome the moisture is not. If it is left unchecked not only will the atmosphere inside the submarine become uncomfortable, but also condensation on the inside of the acrylic spheres will restrict visibility. In the tropics the interior atmosphere will also need cooling to maintain comfort. Two condensers will be fitted, one internal and one external. By switching between these it will be possible to keep the humidity down and to hold the temperature at an acceptable level regardless of the outside water temperature."

The pictures don't load on this page, but if you click on them, they will come up.
