Be careful about using nickel for your submarine parts, especially for pressure hull. Nickel is above steel in the galvanic series in seawatervice. A crack in the nickel will lead to pitting corrosion on the steel. The nickel will become cathode of large area while the small area of steel will act as an anode. Corrosion will happen fast.
