Hi Brian. The hatch dogs just clear. I am making the hinge pin holes
slightly elongated to allow for settling of the hatch when under pressure. This
will also allow the hatch pin to be removed by a rescue diver should that be
necessary. With the pin removed and the rear hatch dog open, a diver can lift
the hatch off ( after flooding) and gain access to the interior.
Brian, That dipping rubber is a good idea. Sometimes rust forms between the
rubber and steel though. Some of the parts I've made,(like these handles) will
be replaced with stainless after the sub is tested. Frank
