Good info thanks guys. I have no data saying the 30% ratings, that is to expensive
sounds like back to original idea of straight electric.
 
And Frank I do not have any data on JB weld. Just past use. I have had it underwater
on a 50' ROV I built for a camera. It really did work fine. I even patched a bad
copper flare with it. But then again not a true test for longevity. The expansion rate is
fine on soft steel. I have used it on extreme temp changes on engines with no problem.
But yes if there is a tried and true under water type pipe dope that will be my choice
maybe a non-critical test in one place.
 
I posted a couple more pics on my frapper and a big atta boy for the first to guess
what the big steel cylinder is for sticking out of my sail.
 
and no it is not a torpedo tube (yet hehheh)
 
And now that I am thinking about it the 4 = 1/4"x4" straps around the pressure
hull is so I don't have to weld everything to the hull. That just does not seem like a good
idea to me, considering my welding
