Cliff is
right KTA’s website is a bit poor but the service excellent! If you phone
they will normally send you a catalogue that is quite comprehensive. They also
have various matched Kits that remove all the guess work. On top of that they
actually know what they are talking about and offer a consultancy service if
required.

Website Update
http://www.kta-ev.com/ Ken Koch a call
at 909/949-7914 is the owner. He is a very nice guy that is
very knowledgeable about equipment and circuits for EV's. The web
site is not that great but content is good. Another source is www.evpartsgo.com.
This companies web site is better but service is better with KTA.
Great works are performed
not by strength but by perseverance.

Website Update
To tryout Jon's new
project format, I migrated the R300 project with fabrication
pictures from the Frappr site. For anyone wanting to document their
project on psubs.org/projects,
the tools Jon has included work great.
Thanks Jon for adding
this feature to Psubs.org.

Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Website Update
Hello psubbers,
Happy New Year to you all.
As part of our continuing effort to modernize and update the website, the
Projects Page (http://www.psubs.org/projects) on PSUBS.ORG is now available
to anyone who would like an alternative to using FRAPPR or MOKI PICTURE
EXCHANGE when sharing photos of your submersible or other related projects.
There are two formats that we are currently providing. The first is a
page
that links to an external web site if you are already using FRAPPR or some
other web service. For an example of this format, go to
http://www.psubs.org/projects
and click on the "Dean Ackman" or "Frank
Dalgleish" links. All you need to do to implement this style is to
send me
an email with a link to your external site and we will create your PSUBS
project page for you.
The second format is for those of you who need an easy-to-use mechanism to
display your photos directly on the PSUBS server. For this format we have
developed a password protected administration area that includes a
user-interface which allows you to:
- Upload photos (jpg format only)
- Create a project description and include specs.
- Sequence your photos in the order you want them displayed
- Add captions to your photos
- Remove photos that you no longer want posted
The resulting web page contains thumbnail photos on the left side that
download quickly and allow people to scan for an image that interests them.
Clicking on the thumbnail image displays a large image on the right side
along with an optional caption for detailed descriptions of each particular
photo. For an example of this format, go to http://www.psubs.org/projects
and click on the "Hryhorcoff", "Langford", or
"Bartsch" links. The only
hard restriction we have is that photos must be in JPG format, which
shouldn't be an issue for anyone with an electronic camera. Our software
automatically resizes the photos you upload so that they fit appropriately
on our web pages.
This is a free service from PSUBS. To get started with your own project
page, simply send me an email.
Jon
