RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Sub Build Website

Aah, i see my test message has come in. Maybe it was the attachment.

Anyway, in reply to Alec's message regarding John F.

Hi Alec.

I also backed up the entire website for the same reason. As im K building myself, John's site is so good a reference, its almost a "set of instructions" and has provided me with numerous helpfull hints. Im trying to replicate that sort of thing myself with my own site as i go along.

Anyway, out of interest, i found out that there is a site that records most websites and stores them for archiving. http://www.archive.org/web/web.php

Most sites are on including Johns and you can go back incrementally through the years. Websites that have been deleted years ago can still be viewed.

Regards
James F.

Unfortunately John just disappeared without a trace. I've tried both his and his wife's emails many times, but never got any response. It's worrying, they might have had an accident or something bad like that. Some time ago I backed up their entire website, because I'd expect it to go down whenever the hosting agreement expires, and it's extremely valuable as a reference source. It hasn't been maintained in years.

Alec

John Farrington's K350, he did a great job of documenting
the construction of his K350:

Does anybody know what happen to John and his sub?
Did it ever get finished?

Ian.
